Telescopic Forks Automated Warehouse

LHD S.p.A. Is Worldwide Leader in Designing and Building Telescopic Forks for Pallet Handling, Miniload, Coils, Automotive, Automated Guided Vehicles.

Telescopic Forks are lately become essential in any branch of handling and movement of goods; it appeared on the markets at the beginning of the ‘80s, being only used in the automotive sector at the time. Those forerunners were quite rudimentary forks; they were handcrafted devices, affected with short strokes and remarkable bending.
As years went by, thanks to the development of new projects and technologies the telescopic forks has been growing into a device of fine mechanics: a safereliable and adaptable machine. Subbstantially, the telescopic fork consist of a fixed body and sliding parts (up to 4), the movement of the latters being provided either through racks and pinions transimission or through chains; in many cases the fork is provided with both systems operating jointly. Rollers, sliding side skids, dampers, engine(s), transmission group and positioning sensors are other basic parts of the telescopic fork.

Telescopic Forks single version

Single-fork versions provide for moving the load on one motorised fork, with a larger plate installed on top in order to ensure the load stability. This version is more suitable for smaller miniloads plants, with restrained weights and quick cycles and also for special projects like coils.

Telescopic Forks double version

Pair of forks consists of two forks that operate together in parallel, being connected through a transmission group – the distance between the forks can be adjustable. A pair of forks can be used for countless purposes, but the automated warehouses for pallets represent their main application.

Arrays of Telescopic Forks

Arrays of forks consist of a certain number of forks that operate all tighter (or alternately) in parallel, being connected through a transmission group and activated by one or more engines.
Arrays of forks are mostly used in the steel industry sector.

Automated Warehouse AS/RS s one of the smartest and most sophisticated material handling system available.

Our AS/RS systems are automated-controlled systems that store and retrieve products in distribution centers, warehouses or manufacturing facilities. Automated storage has been developing since the 1960′s and is one fo the smartest and most sophisticated material handling system available. Loads are strategically delivered via automation upon demand without the use of manual labor. Most of AS/RS systems are used worldwide for handling pallets. AS/RS most common configuration is pallet rack single deep or with multiple pallets stored one behind another (double deep depth) with narrow aisles between allows a tall masted crane to move down the center of the aisle on a raised metal rail. Our products reaches into the pallet location and slides under the pallet and pulls it out into the aisle onto the carriage. Here at LHD S.p.A. we’re able to work with every kind of system in every kind of Automated Warehouse.
